Fastgen

Fastgen is a US-based biotech firm that focuses on the research and development of innovative, rapid in-vitro diagnostics (IVD) tests. The TB Rapid Test is CE mark registered with novel recombinant TB protein reagents, as well as enhanced diagnostic utility and high sensitivity and specificity while the Syphilis Rapid Test is a new syphilis infection detection test using non-invasive sample specimen (urine).

Fastgen is run by Dr. Albert Tam, who is a renowned molecular biologist and virologist and owns more than 15 issued U.S. patents. Dr. Tam is also one of the discoverers of Hepatitis D virus and is also a part of the R&D collaboration with a leading Japan-based laser optic company to develop the next generation rapid IVD testing using laser optic technology.

Fastgen has a laboratory at the Hong Kong Institute of Biotechnology (HKIB) that holds ISO 13485:2003 IVD registration and compliance.
